About these terms

These terms and conditions apply to services provided by BJM Door Solutions ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England and Wales (Company Number 16097078), and to your use of the website bjmdoorsolutions.co.uk. By booking our services or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Quotes and pricing

• Quotes for installation work are free and carry no obligation.
• Emergency and repair callouts are subject to a fixed £95 call-out fee, which covers your engineer's attendance and a full on-site assessment.
• Before any repair or installation work begins, we will give you a clear, fixed price. We will not start chargeable work without your agreement.
• If a job turns out to require additional work that could not reasonably have been identified at the time of the quote, we will discuss and agree any revised price with you before continuing.
• Unless stated otherwise in writing, quotes are valid for 30 days.

Bookings, access, and site conditions

• You agree to provide our engineers with safe and reasonable access to the site and the doors being worked on at the agreed time.
• Please tell us in advance about anything that may affect the work — for example restricted access, site induction requirements, or known faults with the door or building.
• Response times for emergency callouts (for example 60–90 minutes) are targets, not guarantees, and depend on engineer availability, traffic, and location.

Payment

• Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work.
• Where parts must be ordered in advance, we may ask for a deposit before ordering.
• Ownership of any parts or materials supplied remains with us until payment has been received in full.

Cancellations and rescheduling

• You can cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge with reasonable notice.
• If an engineer has already been dispatched to an emergency callout when you cancel, the £95 call-out fee remains payable.

Our work and compliance

• All work is carried out by engineers registered with CSCS and IPAF, and our membership of the Automatic Door Installation Association (ADIA) means installations are carried out to recognised industry standards.
• Automatic door installations and repairs are carried out to comply with BS EN 16005 (safety in use of power-operated pedestrian doorsets).
• We provide service documentation with our work, which you can keep for your own compliance records.

Guarantee

Our repairs and installations are carried out to a high standard and are covered by the BJM Door Solutions workmanship guarantee. Parts and equipment we supply are additionally covered by any applicable manufacturer's warranty, which we pass on to you. The guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, vandalism, accidental damage, lack of recommended maintenance, or work carried out on the door by others after our visit.

Liability

We are responsible for carrying out our work with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or damage unrelated to our work, or for losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
